Merilda is the figurehead of a revolution against an oppressive king. They call her 'Chosen One' and 'Warrior of Truth', but she can see what is happening to the ideals of the once-righteous group of revolutionaries. Book One in the Story Shared by 10000 Series My pixellated heaven is not quite perfect, but neither was the suburban Eden I left it for, and so perhaps I can only forget utopia, choosing to pretend I have a real home. . . . Caliya Sternis is an Avatar, a character in a video game controlled by the player. Obviously. But something has gone very wrong with the game, and the Avatars have all suddenly gained consciousnesses. They are given personalities based on their Alignments, and they all start from the beginning of the game. To end the bloody war that is their reality, somebody must beat the game and return control to the players. But who wants to give up their consciousness, their life? Caliya doesn't.

Mortician hates her name, loves her father, misses her mother, and is obsessed with the idea of death. Then again, who wouldn't be, with the relationship with death that comes from having such a name? She has one good friend, a girl with a name that's almost as strange as hers, and she has a pretty good life. Her mother is dead, but her father is alive. Plus, she has a few mementos. Then, Mortician is kidnapped, and all hell breaks loose. Literally. She goes to hell, with a woman straight out of Egyptian mythology, and is told that her mother wasn't human. Of course, neither is she. . . . Fear, terror, and darkness unknown await us in the night, but only burns and squinted eyes await me in the light.
