Peter Connelly, a highly decorated FBI agent, has just arrived in Jerusalem for a new assignment—there’s been a major cyber heist and it’s up to him to track the missing millions and whoever’s responsible. While the FBI believes this to be the work of the notorious and elusive super-hacker Akula, who may have posed as an Israeli bank employee, Peter’s not convinced. In order to find the real culprit, Peter must play nice with local detective Golan Cohen, but cooperation is not exactly part of Peter’s DNA. However, Peter knows he’s been given a second chance by his new boss Lynn Monahan—the Legal Attaché to the American Consulate in Jerusalem. So it’s in Peter’s best interest to make it work with Golan. Until it’s not. DIG USA Network’s Television Event Series Coming March 5, 2015 #DigDeeper

This is the original, unedited version of Light as a Feather, Book #1. This book was the inspiration for the Hulu Original Series. The revised version is now available in bookstores throughout the USA & Canada from Simon Pulse. McKenna Brady thinks her junior year of high school is going to be the best ever when she's welcomed into the elite group of popular girls at Weeping Willow High School led by blonde, gorgeous Olivia Richmond. Prior to junior year, McKenna was known in her small town as the girl whose twin sister died in a tragic house fire, and she's overjoyed at the prospect of redefining her identity. She has a date to the Homecoming dance with Olivia's handsome older brother, and a good chance of being elected to student council. For the first time since McKenna's parents divorced, things are looking up. But everything changes the night of Olivia's Sweet Sixteen sleepover birthday party. Violet, the shy, mysterious new girl in town, suggests that the girls play a scary game called Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board, during which Violet makes up elaborate stories about the future ways in which beautiful Olivia, brassy Candace, and athletic Mischa will die. The game unsettles McKenna because she's already escaped death once in her life, but she doesn't want to ruin her friends' fun. It's only a game, she reminds herself.

You see a lot of people come and go in my line of work - Mostly they go - but someone has to fill the gaps. No one wants to. In this day and age, Exorcist practically translates to 'Demon-fodder'. That said those of us left are either lucky bastards or good at the job. It doesnt make it any easier thought. I started the job, twelve years old, fresh out of Myrr's district orphanage. The past four years I've seen seven team mates have their bodies and souls consumed. I've watched hundreds of civilians die because I couldn't save them. It doesn't get easier. But it does get bearable. Aken helps. Alot. Regardless. I've seen my fair few come and go. Seeing a new kid dragged in is always painful. Most come in kicking and screaming, begging and demanding, crying and shaking. They want out. But this is a lifetime gig. The silent ones are the worst. They act fine until you turn your back. Thats when they shatter. They don't seem to know just how well we know the job by now. No point in acting tough. Then we have the unique few. Usually a Gifted..or a Marked. Those who don't go mad and end up dead in the first two weeks. The few who actually belong here. The few who we let join our broken family. The few who fill the gaps.
