"As sure as I breathe the Air, as sure as the Earth remains solid beneath my feet, as sure as the Water quenches my thirst, and as sure as the Fire lights my way in the dark. Upon my honor, I swear to uphold the Codes." ---------- Vis is the natural energy that flows through everything. Every living thing had vis that flowed through them, and it is said that long ago every person has been able to interact with the vis around them. Now, perhaps one out of ten children born had the ability, and out of that an even smaller number could manipulate vis to the point where it was even noticeable. The Codes were created after the Devastation to limit the practices of vis. Anybody with an affinity to vis must swear by the Codes, and their training is strictly monitored. Violating the Codes is punishable by death. Acacia and Truman have been selected to go to Reservoir, one of the most prestigious Placements to train to be a vis'i, a master wielder of vis. There, they will be pushed to their limits as they learn how to wield vis in ways they had not thought possible. But, Acacia has a secret. For as long as she can remember, she has been able to influence vis in ways reminiscent to those from the Devastation. She must learn to control her powers if she wishes to become a vis'i. But there are whispers of Darkeyes for the first time in generations. The world is stirring, and the Codes may not be able to protect from what is to come. ---------- Gauging interesting for Reservoir - if it seems like people want to read on, I'll be posting additional chapters on a regular basis.

11x featured wattpad story. Before everything, it's assumed there was nothing, but what if there was no real difference between the two? Just two extreme philosophies from the first conflict. The planet Huom has been under observation for longer than should technically be possible. The primary watcher, a bitter black hole, is excited to see that there is finally a proverbial Darkness at the end of the tunnel. Meanwhile, on the planet, in the freezing mountains of Empris, Lyeasrakardsul, the oldest living sorcerer, suffers from devastating nightmares. At the same time, far away in the sandstone desert of Zenon, Herschel, a man filled to the brim with weird ideas is escaping a prison filled with strange old men. What does all this have to do with arsehole Gods, hairy Dwarfs, frustrated Afreets, curious Knomes, lizard-women, and nude Áettar? Perhaps Nothing, perhaps Everything... but why can't it be both?

"Sometimes death comes knocking, but no one is there to answer the door." In 1881, an asylum is the last place a girl like Lenore, who has lost her sanity, wants to end up. Her family has tried to help her themselves, but after the death of her father and a deep spiral into the world of her mind, the only thing she seems to have left are the stories that she hears... in her head. Her mother must find a way to restrain Lenore's darkness, before it finds its way into the town she inhabits... if it hasn't already. This book is a frame for metaphorical thinking and short stories. The frame you hear here is not nearly as interesting as the paintings within :)
