Emma Alonso is a witch from Miami and is the most powerful witch known as 'The Chosen One', Emma is dating a rebel wizard named Jax. She asks the witches counsel for advice, they tell her to watch over Astral and enroll at Thesus High. Emma and Astral get into some trouble and need help from some other friends, mermaids. They have some trouble getting along with Ondina, Mimmi, and Serina, but they need all the help they can get to overthrow evil.
