first real xreader- made many years ago- i hope some enjoyment is found from it.

I do not own Death Note, the characters or you. I do not own Sword Art Online or any other anime references I may have made. All rights go to their respectful owners. I do, however, own Kiba and Kiyemi. This is thanks to my other Death Note audience since I was requested to write another in a few messages and stuff... So yeah, here it is.

You are around your early 20's going into the police force in hopes of pursuing a career as a detective. You have a strange gift that has influenced many things, including your work. Which has been heavily noticed around your department and soon noticed throughout others in Japan. One day you received a strange invitation to an investigation. It was from the anonymous yet famous L. A Death Note x reader (slight) AU, starring you and L, among other familiar people!

Misa arranges a double date against your will where you meet Ryuzaki. He seems familiar to you, but where do you know him from? Since you haven't got a job, Ryuzaki offers you one and you gladly accept it. But after a few incidents at work you two grow closer than you planned on doing...

You run down the street, hoping to find a way out of the carnival. Kira has struck again, this time, he has killed an innocent man. The memory of the middle aged man falling lifelessly onto the ground flashes through your mind once again. You run until you can't run anymore. L, L has to catch Kira. Kira killed the guy thinking he was.. L? I can't let L get hurt.. He's my best friend, I... Love him.. "I Won't Leave You Alone Y/N.." I DO NOT OWN DEATH NOTE OR ANY CHARACTERS!!!! This is strictly just FAN FICTION!!

[Y/N] is a normal high school student who is about to graduate. She* is very curious about what is happening in the world and likes to have her own thoughts about it. One day the Japanese Taskforce shows up on your doorstep because she is suspected to be Kira. But the suspicion is not the only reason why she has to go with them... The characters and the whole Kira-story are obviously from Death Note, I do not own the rights about it and whatever I am supposed to say about that now. Please ignore any grammar and spelling mistakes, I try my best :) * /he, I mean if you are a guy reading this it's obviously cool. You just need to know that I will use she/her in this story, but I see no reasons why this shouldn't work with a male reader :) added notes: as you can see in the title, I discontinued this story (more details in the last "chapter" if you're interested). again, thank you all for the positive feedback and sorry if I disappointed you by not continuing this story. if anyone got inspired by this plot, feel free to use/continue it :)
