Sabo's a lawyer, Luffy's a volunteer fire-fighter and EMT and friends with half the people of the New World. Ace is a full-time fire fighter, part of the multi-division main station in central downtown headed by Edward Newgate and his "sons". Devil Fruit powers exist in this world - but people are born with the ability, and often ostracized by the world at large for being cursed.
