Soon, it becomes obvious that Kyoya and the Hitachiin twins have feelings for her, along with practically every single boy in the school. Akane, however, remains oblivious about all of it. Still, after some time, Akane starts noticing that her heart is beating a little quicker whenever she's around Kyoya. Is it love? And does he love her back? But how can she compete against all the other girls at Ouran, all fawning over Kyoya? However, they also soon find out that Kyoya is to be engaged to Antonina, the daughter of a powerful Russian businessman. Akane, on the other hand, is being hunted down by the same mysterious group that nearly wiped out her entire family line. And to make things worse, she's forced to become Kyoya's personal bodyguard! How will Akane and Kyoya get through these new obstacles? Will their love survive? Were they even meant to be together at all?
