Eva King, considered just another rat in Gotham's slum, butted heads with the one and only, the Dark Knight, when she had to rob a bank with others by her side. She caught the Batman's attention only because she was the only one standing when he was done with the others. She managed to fight him off and escape him. Instantly Batman became intrigued, he spent nights searching anything about the unknown girl, some nights, he spent it trying to track her down.

Sequel to His Last Joke and final book in the trilogy~ The hardest goodbyes are simply the ones never said. "You know what the hardest thing was?! It wasn't the part where I had realised I lost you. Bruce had tried to stop him but he wouldn't give in and Eva walked in but a little to late. After Bruce carried Jack's dead body away, Eva has to try and start a new life without Jack there by her side. Now, they say that the ones we love don't go away but that they walk beside us everyday. Unseen and unheard. However, what happens when Eva starts seeing Jack everywhere she goes?! Is it all an illusion? But what if one of those 'illusions' get too real to have been imagined up?!

Previously after Eva getting involved in pursuing a certain jewel with The Joker and The Riddler. Evangeline Striker can't seem to remember anything that has previously happened to her along the last year as a result of being in a motorcycle accident. Will she remember how her life has turned? Will she remember her feelings for The Joker and their time together? But the real question is: Will she accept to live in her past life once she knows the truth? Or will she scare away?

Evangeline Striker. 25 years old. Has a PHD in psychology, and is a current Dr. at the Arkham Asylum. What happens when a past patient is back? Will Eva be able to handle another criminal? Or will she give in to the madness?

Upon beginning her new life in Gotham, she accidentally stumbles into one of The Joker's heists. Somehow impressing the psychotic criminal in allowing her to live, she realizes her luck did not come freely. Iris must allow herself to be a playing card in the Joker's game against Batman if she wishes to stay alive.
