She set the flower on the table and took one last look at the puppet - and gasped when Slappy winked at her. That was enough for her to freak out. "Ah!" Shelly screamed at the top of her lungs. She dashed out of the room and hurried to her bedroom. Her bedroom was upstairs, so she scurried up the stairs and into her room. She shut her door and breathed heavily. Her back was pressed against the door. "Is...is he alive?"

Growing up Emily didn't really have a normal childhood. Her mom stole her at birth after divorcing her husband Nick and raised Emily as a boy. Then after 4 years of being tormented by her viscous mom and living life as a boy, her dad finally rescues her and her mom (Angie) is sent to jail. After finding (the 2015) Slappy stuck deep inside some bushes in the woods by their house in Madison, Delaware, he brings it to her daughter for her 5th birthday. About 3 months later Slappy finally reveals himself to Emily and her dad. Nick wants Slappy to leave so he can't hurt Emily, but Emily wants Slappy to stay, so Nick gives Slappy 1 week to prove himself to him and to Emily. But if he fails he has to leave the Wilde house (that's Emily's last name) for GOOD. He succeeds in proving himself, but soon Stine finds out that Slappy never got sucked back into the book so he tracks Slappy down to Emily's house but Emily refuses to give Slappy up because she is too attached to him. Will Stine have a kind enough heart to let Slappy stay? Or will Slappy lose his 1 chance at belonging to a family that cares about him SO much? Read to find out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since the recent monster invasion, things were just beginning to look up again.
