And yet, we often disregard the transition from one to another, in which the 'bad guy' becomes 'good.' Perhaps it was the cruel mistreatment of Tom Marvolo Riddle as a child, or maybe it was the bloodline of Slytherin's heir himself that made the boy into the 'monster' who cannot be named. Or, perhaps it was simply because he did not know that his heart would beat in such a frenzy, that his cheeks would redden like a crimson rose, and that his normally-calm facade would melt under the simple gaze of the time-travelling heroine. If I were to bet, I'd say it's the latter. But it matters not why Voldemort could not love, for this is not a story about Voldemort. This is the story of Tom Marvolo Riddle, and how he came into direct conflict and company with the 'brightest witch of her age' ... fifty-years ahead. This is the story of love's recognition, in which the force does not suddenly develop between two people, but a poignant emotion, different for each individual, is uniquely described to be 'love.' Maybe Tom Riddle never loved, much like that of Voldemort. The smartest witch of her age is thrown back twenty years in time only to study and fight alongside the infamous Marauders and their friends. Add the sudden existence of a carelessly handsome Marauder's love life to the mix and the wizarding world's history simply cannot remain the same.

"Promise me, Cindria! Please!" Tom pleaded, now gripping my arms in a vice-like a grip. "I won't, I won't promise something when I know I'm going to break that promise, Tom," I said shaking my head. I refused to comply with Tom's demands because I knew one way or another, I'd be forced to get involved in what's happening. Whatever was happening. "Fine! You leave me no choice! Nagini!" I heard Tom say, and when he uttered that familiar name, I began to tremble. "Tom...Tom! what are you doing?" I said weakly, raising my hands to his muscled biceps. "Protecting you," he replied, just as Nagini, Tom's huge snake, slithered into the room. I could feel myself becoming faint and I pressed myself into Tom for protection from the venomous creature. He wouldn't. Would he? He would. "Tom...You promised...You promised that it wouldn't come near me!" I began to panic, now trying to get away from Tom, who held me around the waist, tightly against him. "I know what I promised, Cindria, I promise Nagini won't hurt you. She'll just be outside your door, guarding you, making sure nothing happens to you in case you have any ideas," he told me, putting his hand on my cheek. "Please don't do this, you don't have to do this," I whispered, tears making their way to my eyes.

"Why did you have to pick me? Do you enjoy my misery or something?" Hermione yelled. "I picked you to protect you!" Draco screamed. "Why would you want to protect me?" She asked with tears threatening too fall. Draco became silent for a moment. All his rage left as he looked into Hermione's eyes. "Because I made a promise to Saint Potter. I would protect you if he wasn't here to protect you anymore." Draco said seriously. "Because he knew I loved you, and I wouldn't let anyone hurt you." "Y..you love me..." Hermione mumbled in awe. "Until the very end." Draco said breathlessly ~~~~~ This is my first Hp fanfic, if I misspelled something please tell me. I won't get upset if anything they make me happy.
