If one wants to know what their tattoo means, they’ll consult the Tarahcle. Their tattoo is null and void if the person so happens to leave Nosaes. This, however, is very tricky and dangerous… and also punishable by death. Kellen, Keezhekoni’s longtime friend, and Teague, Keezhekoni’s brother, have quite a predicament.
