Meet Zoya Malik - heiress to a fortune, queen of every room she enters, and the girl who can make anyone laugh while her own heart is bleeding. Something they blame her for. Something that wasn't her fault. Now Zoya survives on sleeping pills, dua, and the desperate hope that one day, her mother will call her "princess" again. Enter Farjaad Khan - charming, reckless, and dangerously flirtatious. He laughs too loudly, grins too often, and everyone thinks he's just another carefree rich boy. But Farjaad is hiding a dagger behind that smile. He didn't come to Zoya's college for an education. He came for revenge. The Maliks destroyed his family. And he plans to destroy theirs - starting with their beloved daughter. But fate has a twisted sense of humour. The harder Farjaad tries to hate Zoya, the more he falls for her - for her hidden tears, her midnight prayers, her broken soul that somehow still shines. And Zoya, who has forgotten what love feels like, finds herself drawn to the one man who is secretly plotting her downfall. What happens when the avenger forgets his mission? What happens when the broken girl discovers the truth? And will Zoya's parents ever forgive her - or has she lost them forever? 𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬. 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐲. She's been a burden on her uncle since she woke up in the hospital alive while her parents and brother died before help could reach them. Since then, she has gone through everyday praying, begging that one day she meet her parents and brother again and don't be a burden to her relatives. She shouldn't be asking her Creator to take her back but she has nothing else to pray for except to be in the arms of her loved ones again. 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 has a successful business with a great reputation, works everyday to be a better Muslim and tries his best not to think about the past that still carries the pain and regret. However, there's still one thing he keeps running after every time he finds out she's close. The only thing that he wants, but doesn't know why, is in a form of a woman who was once a part of his past. Every time she slips from his reach, an unsettling feeling settles inside of him. He believes if this lingering thought refuses to leave his mind then his Lord has put it for a reason. So, he makes it his goal to achieve it and finally find out why it matters so much to him even if it takes years. Allah does not keep apart the souls He has destined for each other. When an opportunity finally approaches, one grasps it and pulls the other close. As they slowly soften their way into each other's heart, they discover how deeply they are able to heal the wounds of the past, overcome the thoughts that refused to fade and learn what it means to be whole again just as an obstacle rises to stand between them, testing their bond. I walked down the white hallways filled with the smell of bleach and chlorine. The lights above were too bright, too luminescent. I can't think. I can't look straight. I can't breathe. Everything was blurry. I touched my cheeks and felt tears cascade down to my chin. My steps faltered. My heart wouldn't stop beating out of my chest. "I'm sorry Nouran." She had looked at me sadly, eyes filled with emptiness. No, no, no. What am I going to do? What am I going to tell him? Him. Izhar. I can't breathe....
