"The child is unusually naive, sir."
"She's only 16. She will grow up into a fine lady. Make sure, she learns all her manners and we won't have a problem. After all she has been raised for having the heir to the Soprano family."
"But sir, I think she needs to experience the world outside. She has been confided in this villa since she was born. It's not healthy."
The nanny replied for all she knew the man was a monster. Her love for the little dove was the only thing that had held her back.
She loved the girl with her heart.
"You don't teach me what I should do with my daughter! Mind if I remind you of the extent of your liberties. Groom her, she is not allowed to go. Now, I am going to leave the estate and return after six months. "
The man left his chamber.
The child had heard every single word as she had been a peeping Tom.
Her curiosity was always pestering her to explore.
She wondered why would Father never allow her to go see the real world.
"And what did we talk about listening to other people?"
She giggled like a little girl.
"I am just curious Amma.I read in a book, curiosity is a good thing which means, I am growing up."
The nanny sighed and ruffled the girl's hair.
"Oh my sweet child, I hope the Soprano boy will treat you with love and respect. You are nothing but an unpolished diamond."
The girl blinked...she never understood what people said at times.
She had known for a while that she was to marry the Soprano Boy and have babies.
Didn't all husbands love their wives. Why would he be any different!
"Oh Amma! husbands always love their wives. Remember how Father used to stay more when Mama was alive. He loved her."
Dear lord.
What was to happen with Posie Lancaster when she was to face the harsh realities of the world.. especially when she was getting married to the enigmatic, Daniel Soprano.
