Years after the defeat and subsequent colonization of the Vinnish empire by the kingdom of Rior; the world of Lyhtos has been enveloped in a sense of security. The dying out of the wizard race also meant the dying out of magic; and a new era was being created-one where sparse little remained of the arcane and its arts. Sir Jurghen is a retired Knight in the service of his nation with a duty to uphold for his King; while Lasix finds himself embroiled in a long-fought battle against oppression. Bede wanders free-a dangerous boy, in possession of an equally dangerous item. And, in the midst of it all, a long foretold end gradually approaches for Lyhtos and her people....

This is a new style of writing for me. For the first part, I tell it as if you are actually there, but at the end, I switch tenses so as to better explain what is going on.
