The mystery of the Mirror World and the Dimension Mirror had never been solved for as long as Dreamland existed. Many tried, yet the truth could never grasped. Some still continue to try, others gave up convinced that the Mirror World is simply a corrupted copy of Dreamland, the Dimension Mirror a failed copy of the Fountain of Dreams. Even so, there's no denying that the Mirror World and the Dimension Mirror are as old as both Dreamland and the Fountain of Dreams. Even before Dark Mind's appearance, both still existed. Thus surely, there must be an answer, there must be a reason for their existence. What do you think, my dear readers? Do you think there is a deeper history hidden in time? In a fictional universe where dazzling creatures roam and horrific monsters lurk, a Star Warrior suddenly awakens in a desert. With no memory of who she was or who she may be, so it feels like she was supposed to go to an afterlife, but was accidentally left behind somehow... At the same time, another Star Warrior named Augustine wanders the same charred wastelands of that planet after being left there to die." They meet by coincidence, and team up to help find their ways back home. Along the way, they meet several other Star Warriors, natives, and even multiple Halcandrans, who are also going through a predicament themselves: A disease is on the loose, after a lab "accident" in a lab on Halcandra; The Dark-Matter-infused virus wreaks havoc on the universe as it makes ruin of the minds of hundreds innocent Star Warriors, Halcandrans, and even Mirror Worlders. As it spreads like wildfire, the small group of heroes and misfits do their part, whether recruiting more help or doing research on how to cure it, they work hardest and do their best. But is it enough to stop the disease and its snake-tongued harbinger, before it infects and destroys them as well? (DISCLAIMER! This is a Heroes of Dreamland AU (Author Lady-aka-ebearskittychan approved) that also borrows a couple of characters from TheTrashGoddess' Kirby fic "Stars That Fall to Earth." I do have permission to use all the OCs I include in my story from both writers, and all ships in the story have also already been okay'd by them both (so please don't flame me if you don't like a ship they're all pure anyway I promise ok??? ok). (Also there will be references to the book The Great Gatsby, kudos to those who spot them!) Anyway, my little tale is a re-imagining of the HoD cast (and a couple STFTE OCs) as puffballs living in Star World's version of the 1920s. Following the Great War against Halcandra, everything is pretty chaotic. The lives of the rich keep getting flashier and flashier, while the have-nots keep getting left farther and farther behind. Magic is illegal, thanks to the Prohibition declared by General Arthur, but nobody's really paying attention--ya just gotta keep it on the down-low, y'see? In a world of murder, mystery, and intrigue, one thing reigns supreme--the sweet sound of swing jazz. One thing's for sure, at least everything is Swingin! This story is PG-13 for mild violence/blood, so be forewarned, kiddos. Blah blah blah, the normal girl has a life changing experience, becomes a superhero, and saves the world, right? Done. End of story. Unfortunately, that isn't anything like how my story turned out. You see, there are a lot of complications that are involved in Being a Star Warrior, and they are especially hard to stomach down when you didn't ask for it. A dark force is threatening to take over Dreamland, intending to shatter its dreams... forever. But a certain Star Warrior and friends have risen yet again, to save Dreamland from such a horrible fate. However, it won't be so easy... Join Kirby, Meta Knight, Tiff, and other heroes as they venture to keep Dreamland peaceful, safe, and well... full of dreams. Expect breathtaking mystery, danger, slowly blossoming romance, unexpected reappearances, and tear-invoking sacrifice to make its way along.
