|| Book 1 of The Shadow's Melody || As a maid here at the new Opéra Populaire I can certainly sense something different. Something missing. It lacked him. The Opera Ghost who disappeared. I know I should let it go. I know I shouldn't constantly think about a dead man. A murderer. But I simply can't. I can't forget about that man I fell in love with those many years ago. I yearned to hear his angelic voice again. I begged for it. Hoped for it. Prayed for it. I called for him in my dreams. The man they called The Phantom of the Opera. I would never have guessed that my hopes and prayers would soon be answered.

Angel's dream has come true- she's met her favorite YouTuber, Squid! But it's so much better than she ever could've imagined. He's so nice and altruistic and he actually wants to hang out with her, outside of Minecon. Wait... that can't be right. She's just a fan. Surely he wouldn't want to talk to her. But somehow, they become friends. Possibly even... more than friends. Hey there peoples of Wattpad, it's your gurl Elsie here. Somehow you have stumbled upon this book, so I suppose I should welcome you. But, I'm not going to because I'm lazy. *shrugs* You'll learn to deal with it if you stick around. Anyways, this is an iBallisticSquid fanfiction, if you couldn't tell by the cover. I've been working on it for... let's see, I think coming up on two years now? I know, a whole two years invested in something I'll probably be ashamed of in the future, but oh well. Enough about that, I've gotta tell you something before you attempt to start reading this, if you're at all interested for whatever reason. There are some chapters that are "mature," but I put a warning at the beginning of them so you can skip them if you don't like reading that type of content. It never goes into detail so I'm not going to mark the whole story mature, but I'm just telling you now as a heads-up. But please don't let that scare you off! It's quite far into the story and like I said, you can always just skip it if you want. I encourage you to just give this story a try. There's always the back button if you decide it's not for you, which I know it won't be for a lot of people. But if you're willing to take a chance and come on this journey with Angel, David, and myself (as the author I mean) then be my guest! We always enjoy a bit of company. Any girl would be lucky to have him. Who knew that out of all his fans, Mark would choose you. the one that stayed quiet and all the comments, never tried to send an email, or fan mail. The one that never begged for attention. You see him in a place you never expected. Your own house. What happens when things don't ever go the way you want it to? How many problems can pop up during a short amount of time? In this story it's mostly in Mark's point of view because I want the reader to have their own feelings but for some parts it is you.
