before the Cullen's happened the Volturi met a women who they didn't know was secretly a witch , she took some of each elite guards DNA without them knowing and transferred it into a women. a women called Lilly potter who her and her husband asked the witch for help having a baby so she did and gave them a child they both knew she didn't have any of their DNA but never the witch never told them who's it was.
