Welcome to Hanover House.... Psychiatrist Evelyn Talbot has dedicated her life to solving the mysteries of the antisocial mind. Why do psychopaths act as they do? How do they come to be? Why don't they feel any remorse for the suffering they cause? And are there better ways of spotting and stopping them? After having been kidnapped, tortured and left for dead when she was just a teenager-by her high school boyfriend-she's determined to understand how someone she trusted so much could turn on her. So she's established a revolutionary new medical health center in the remote town of Hilltop, Alaska, where she studies the worst of the worst. But not everyone in Hilltop is excited to have Hanover House and its many serial killers in the area. Alaskan State Trooper, Sergeant Amarok, is one of them. And yet he can't help feeling bad about what Evelyn has been through. He's even attracted to her. Which is partly why he worries. He knows what could happen if one little thing goes wrong...

Deep in the Arizona desert live a girl and her dad, burying secrets--and bodies. ***** Mesa Kingston's first memory of burying a corpse was at eight years old. Back then it had been the carcass of a large lizard her dad found that they buried in the backyard of their isolated cottage. At age fourteen, the body of a young lady accompanied the reptile's remains, and ever since, an accumulation of female bodies began to grow. Now, the only way Mesa can stop the haunting screams of the dead is by drowning them out with flames. Or is there more to the blaze than even she can perceive? ***** ** Trigger warning for survivors of abuse for final chapter. ***** Copyright © 2016 by L.L. Sanders

"That day at the park had been strange. I sat their alone with the sense of someone watching me swing on the swingset. My house was right down the street and my parents gave me a small cellphone to call them in case I ever needed. My neighborhood wasnt safe, lots of kids were stolen from this very park and some even killed while being held captive. Police never found the killer and legend has it the ghost of kids killed from this park will follow you home and kill you, making you suffer worse than they themselves did. They believed that If they couldnt be alive, no other kid should be too. Why I decided to go here alone? Reason unknown... Typical Me. Murders and any suspected kidnappings hadnt happened in years but who knew when they were bound to happen again? That was why I was running home. Alone, scared, and soaked in rain water. Even better my parents had left to a nearby market with a note on the door saying they'd be back soon." -JadaWesley copywright 2015
