"Ben, BEN! Why are you doing this?" "I have to" "I see under the sheet of darkness that has fallen upon you, come back before it's too late!" "It already is too late. Goodbye, Rey." Then Rey felt herself fall into a deep, un-peaceful, and dark sleep. Kylo Ren slowly glided away from her unconscious form. A tear, although invisible from the rest of the universe underneath his mask, fell down his cheek. Kylo Ren left the scene of the massacre, where he had just murdered dozens of former fellow Jedi padawans, at the academy his uncle had established. He didn't look back, for he knew that if he did, he would totally break...he would be torn apart. Please note that this story STARTS in the time while Kylo Ren/Ben is at the Jedi Academy and that this story was written directly after The Force Awakens! It does not include ANY of TLJ or TROS canon, please be aware of this as you read. Also I wrote this like 3 or 4 years ago, excuse my grammar mistakes. Yes, I know they're there. No, I will not be fixing them, I'm too lazy for that. Highest Ranking: #4 in Reylo November 2018 I (obviously) do not own Star Wars, only characters that I may create...this is a REYLO fanfiction, so if you do not appreciate or if you dislike this match up, please do not read! I wish not to receive hate! Please forgive me if there are some inaccuracies in here that may not EXACTLY follow the canon Star Wars Universe. I hope you all enjoy my writing! Regards, M.J.

There is no night in the Everburning City. There can never be. ***** For four hundred years the Everburning City has withstood the advance of the life-strangling fog known as the Gloam. Its walls have held back five invasions, but on the eve of the sixth, the city's inhabitants know things have changed. Golems are coming out of the mist, and the bodies of the dead are rising at the Gloam's bidding. The city's last and most desperate line of defence comes in the form of the Crafters, individuals who can channel the power of fire, though they risk their sanity each time they do. The brightest of these valiant heroes are Tabitha a'Loria and her apprentice Gerald Reath. Risking their lives, they mount their airships, determined to save the last bastion of humanity - the Everburning City. [[word count: 100,000-150,000 words]]

***A WATTPAD FEATURED STORY Sept 6th 2016*** "Yoda was not a master of the Light Side-or the Dark. He was between them." Luke Skywalker hears this from a mysterious Jedi prisoner during her interrogation and frees her to investigate what she means. Undercover for her own gain, she killed her Sith master to aid the Rebellion, but was arrested for intentionally killing a boy while she wore a warm sane smile... Luke---tormented with questions---resists the unresolved darkness within him from his father's death, and fights to learn the forgotten secrets of the Force: How did the Force originate and why? What doesn't Yoda trust me to know? Is her forgotten Light Side just as depraved and powerful as the Dark Side? Why was the practice of it forbidden and forgotten? Does her fearless play in battle come from a robust will or is she truly insane? Am I really a Jedi? ======================= Star Wars: The Ancient Force presents as a 280-page novel that aims to elaborate on how the Force works while providing a compelling new arc for Luke after Return of the Jedi. Dark yet fun and PG-13, it aims to keep within the Star Wars style. It uses only canon of films 1-6 to reinterpret and explain the Force, events, and character motivations while it introduces new complex characters, fixes loopholes, and provides depth to canon clichés. It is the first published work of a writer with over 13 years of experience in developing fiction.
