schiz·o·phre·ni·a: a long-term mental disorder of a type involving a breakdown in the relation between thought, emotion, and behavior, leading to faulty perception, inappropriate actions and feelings, withdrawal from reality and personal relationships into fantasy and delusion, and a sense of mental fragmentation. In which Vic Fuentes is a twenty-one year old man diagnosed with schizophrenia living within a psychiatric hospital, and Kellin is an obnoxious twenty year old burnout who somehow finds himself in Vic's room every afternoon.

While cleaning out his room to leave for college, Kellin Quinn discovers a mysterious book which holds his whole life story. Past, present, and future. So what happens when Kellin discovers Vic Fuentes, fellow student, in his future? Many things. Many good and bad things to be exact.

'The painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease or in an irreversible coma.' Euthanasia. This disease was my life. I want to die, I want to die. I wanted to bleed out right in that bathroom, but he had to stop me; why does he even care? Why would Vic Fuentes, the perfect senior care enough to stop me dying. That's never enough of course, so can he really stop me wanting to die?

Kellin Quinn is a fanfiction writer, in love with Vic Fuentes, the lead singer in the band Pierce the Veil. Unknown to him, Vic reads and adores his writings, but to what extent? Things start to get a little creepy when Vic finds Kellin at a resort and kidnaps him, locking him in a cabin in the middle of the woods. What's worse than a crazed singer who kidnaps his crush? A crazed singer who makes the young author write another fanfiction, using both of them as characters. Vic will stop at nothing to make Kellin love him, and Kellin will stop at nothing to get away. Kellin Quinn. He’s the ultimate criminal. Charged with murder, kidnapping, and assault, he’s been locked up in a prison in which he meets a certain man – no, not a man. He’s a monster, and he changes Kellin into a monster too; one with fangs and a craving for blood. Vic Fuentes. He’s the supposed “victim” here. On multiple medications, he’s forced into therapy to talk about this whole “incident” and the bullies at his new school, Mission Bay High. Vic’s over-active imagination pictures Kellin everywhere he goes, until one day, he actually is with him. When Kellin escapes from prison, he, Mike, Ari, Tay, Zack, and Vic run away. Vic Fuentes never thought anything bad would happen to him. He had a pretty decent life; star-player of the soccer team at his high school, good grades, girls swooning over him. Vic never really took danger precautions seriously. One drunken night, he’s dared to go into the woods alone in the middle of the night while drunk to sleep there. That’s the night when his mindset about danger changed. Kellin Quinn-Bostwick was always the loner boy. His life was as low as someone’s life could get; abusive parents, bad grades, no friends. He was also openly gay. People never tried to tease him or taunt him about it; or about anything, for that matter. Everyone knew Kellin could kill–literally. He watches Vic and his drunken friends near the woods and decides, without thinking, how to ruin their night. He doesn’t know it yet, but Kellin only made Vic’s night better.
