"You must find him, the man with the..." "The greasy shirt and turkey on his laps" She echoed Eve. "Of course I must. If only to shut you up! But does this greasy shirt man even have a name or must I go around town arresting every stranger who might have a stain on his shirt and a turkey tied around his waist like a belt?" She was exasperated. In love, identity is everything when you are a princess and he is a prince and both your kingdoms are at war. A chance meeting in Greece by two Royals would lead to a forbidden love story.

He wanted her to say something, anything! Why was she agreeing to this? Why was she accepting marriage to a man she didn't even know? Why was she so weak, so stupid, so powerless? He wished above all things that he could walk away from this mess but his father had made it very clear; he couldn't walk away, only Kyra could. And until then, he was stuck with her. Yet, here she sat, hardly able to even look him in the eye. "You, Kyra, are many things" He said, his finger tracing the outline of her face. She held her eye lids shut, no doubt afraid to look at him. "A bait. A punishment. A torment" He snarled, making certain to leave his venom dripping from every word as he laid emphasis on them. He leaned forward and pressed his lips menacingly against her ears. "But. You. Will. Never. Be. My. Wife" Retracting his finger and leaning back, he watched her, waiting patiently for her reaction. But she sat there, her eyelids still shut, her hands trembling by her side and her lips pressed together. She said nothing and it infuriated him. He hated the woman that sat before him, the weakling that was his curse. He watched with great disgust as a drop of tear disentangled itself from her thick, black, long lashes and made its way down her flushed cheek while her eyes stood shut. With that, he turned around and walked away, determined to be the one to break Kyra. **** When Vihaan's father forces him into an arranged marriage with Kyra, he treats her as she deserves; with anger and disgust. Until the real reason his father chose Kyra is revealed; her life hangs on the balance and with her death, Vihaan stands to gain her father's entire empire. Will Vihaan eventually turn against his father's sinister plan to get Kyra out of the picture and stand to fight for her life or will he see her death as an escape from his emotional prison? More than eight years before the novel opens, Anne Elliot, then a lovely, thoughtful, warm-hearted 19 year old, accepted a proposal of marriage from the handsome young naval officer Frederick Wentworth. He was clever, confident, and ambitious, but poor and with no particular family connections to recommend him. Sir Walter, Anne's fatuous, snobbish father and her equally self-involved older sister Elizabeth were dissatisfied with her choice, maintaining that he was no match for an Elliot of Kellynch Hall, the family estate. Her older friend and mentor, Lady Russell, acting in place of Anne's late mother, persuaded her to break the engagement. Now 27 and still unmarried, Anne re-encounters her former love when his sister and brother-in-law, the Crofts, take out a lease on Kellynch. Wentworth is now a captain and wealthy from maritime victories in the Napoleonic wars. However, he has not forgiven Anne for rejecting him. While publicly declaring that he is ready to marry any suitable young woman who catches his fancy, he privately resolves that he is ready to become attached to any appealing young woman except for Anne Elliot.

Dear readers, I'm presenting you a story that I wrote a while ago, even before my first novel. It bears a special place in my heart as it helped me to discover the writer inside me. I hope you enjoy it :) 'Human After All' is a phrase I picked up from a favorite song of mine by Level 42. It struck me as being so basic yet poignant to the human condition that I had to make it the underlying theme of my story. So while reading it and pondering about the goings on I'd ask all of you to keep it in my mind, that we are all 'Human After All'-- liable to make mistakes, jump to conclusions, have misunderstandings and be generally crazy! Character sketch: Khanak Agarwal is a young, sincere, hardworking doctor who truly believes in the essential goodness of mankind. Shantanu Khandelwal is a Harvard educated architect who is ambitious and leery of developing lasting relationships with women that is until Khanak came by...

THANK YOU, Wattpad, for the HQ Love Watty Award! Concept: A mysterious young woman flees from her troubled past only to discover it is impossible to escape THE SECRET that haunts her. *PLEASE NOTE: This story was originally inspired by the movie "Sleeping With the Enemy". * * * * * "I would never, Steven," she promised, turning away from him in an attempt to protect herself. "I know you wouldn't," he screamed. Cupping her chin in his hand, he forced her to look at him. "Because I would kill you." His words hung heavy in the air. Sarah's heart sank into her stomach. No matter how many times she'd heard the menacing phrase, she could never get used to it. It had the same affect on her as the first time he'd thrown the ugly words in her face. The familiar sting of bile rose in her throat, and she knew she would deplete the contents of her stomach once she was locked in the safety of their master bath. 'If I make it through this time,' she agonized. Her biggest fear was that one day he would really lose his temper with her. Who knew what would happen then? *This story is an unedited first draft. Top Ranks: Action #1, Mystery and Thriller #1 *This story contains scenes of abuse and may be disturbing to some readers. While the characters are fictional, domestic violence is a serious issue that many people across the world face. If you or someone you know is the victim of abuse, please seek help immediately.
