Marinette and Adrien attended the same school. They knew each other, and acknowledged each other. But Marinette couldn't help the way she felt about Adrien. His gorgeous blonde hair, those piercing green eyes, and his perfect, dazzling smile. But she knew Adrien would never see her as more than a friend. Adrien saw the way he looked at her. It annoyed Adrien that somebody was in love with her. But he loved Ladybug, not Marinette, right? There was something so familiar about the girl though, that midnight blue hair, those beautiful ocean eyes, and her genuine kindness towards all her friends. "Lights, camera, akumas?" Marinette's school is making a play about the life of the two heroes, Chat Noir and their beloved Ladybug. The roles seem to fit the person, Nino's the Bubbler, Nathanael's the Illustrator, Alya's Lady Wifi, and even Adrien's Chat Noir! All except Marinette, who's somehow stuck being the costume designer and the understudy for Chloe?! The blonde brat seems to have landed the role of Ladybug, and doing a rather bad job of it too. Of course, it's no surprise she seems to have made a few calls to her dad during the play auditions.... However, when trouble arises, will the true heroine step up to her spotlight?

Marinette's mother has decided to enter a competition - but this competition isn't in Paris, it's in China. Marinette has never been out of her city of birth, and Sabine decides to take her along. This is possibly a once-in-a-lifetime adventure for Marinette, and she's excited for it. At the same time, Adrien Agreste also has to go to China, for two reasons - to improve his Chinese, and to model different outfits. Little do they know that fate has bound them together ... Maybe the competition isn't the most important thing. When someone hits the year of 13 in their life, a clock appears on the inside of their right wrist to the countdown of meeting their soulmate. However, even though you may have already met your soulmate, the countdown is to a special moment that will happen between you and your soulmate.
