Kristen Salanda is an eighteen year old freshmen in college at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. She was born in Kauai, Hawaii but moved to San Diego, California when she was just 2 months old after her parents decided to separate. She was raised in San Diego together with her two older brothers, Chris (20) and Brandon (22) by their mother, Marrisa. Growing up, Kristen always had a love for surfing. Surfing was her life, it was her only connection to Hawaii. When she surfed, she felt like the water is where she belonged. Kristen was always interested in her birth place, not just because it's filled with beautiful islands, white sand beaches, great surfers, and exotic foods, but because it's where the father she never got to meet or had, resided.
