You know that feeling? When you're trapped in a dream, and no matter what you do, you can't run, and you can't force your burning lungs to scream? Well...that was one teenager's every day life. Because he was trapped. He couldn't scream, he couldn't run. Because his trap, was his body.

[PART TWO of the Queer Kid Chronicles, read I Am Me first!] I didn’t like myself. No, I wasn’t ugly. I wasn’t fat. My parents adored me and my little sister looked up to me. I was the perfect son, a balanced mix of intelligence and athleticism. My grades were stellar and I was the star of the track team. My dream school had accepted me and I would be graduating at the end of the year. I was 17, with the perfect family, the perfect life, and everything was going the right direction. Funny, how it was all a lie. I wasn’t perfect, I was an abomination. I was...gay. No! I wasn’t, it was all just a phase that would pass in time. Right…? I sure hope so, because if it doesn’t, it’ll be the death of me.
