I love running. I can't remember a time where my feet digging into the ground and the wind blowing against my face didn't bring me a sense of comfort. It was the only thing that I was good at. Maybe one day I'd beat the record of the fastest runner and become something of myself. It was just a dream, but I was one to chase my dreams. I've been doing It for a long time now. I was something special in my 12th grade year. The fastest female runner on campus, but at Lincoln university I was just another runner. Most of the track runners there could beat me in under 20 seconds if they tried hard enough. I had to work even harder. I wasn't cool anymore I wasn't special. In fact if being a freshman wasn't already bad enough, I'm pretty sure I was the odd girl out at Lincoln university. I had no friends and nobody from my high school got transfers here so I was pretty much all alone. That is if you count having a college bully as the only person to talk to. Her name was Bailey Anders and I wasn't sure what I did to make her hate me so much but she did. And she made sure I knew. Actually She made sure everyone knew. But after a while I simply stopped paying attention to her threats and hurtful comments and started to pay attention to other things. Like the smell of her raven black hair and the way she smiled which was a rare sight to see. Considering the only time she smiled was when she was ruining my freshman year. It took a while but I did notice it.. Not when it first started though, Maybe a few weeks in. It got to a point to where I wasn't sure if I was letting Bailey win or if the cold hearted girl had always been my runner up. But I was no longer racing to win. I was no longer chasing my dreams. I was chasing Bailey.

The entire school has to repeat the last year of school, houses don't matter anymore and in 6th and 7th year you and another person share a room. Loneliness is colder then any storm, colder then any flake of snow or ripping wind. This chill is something that Kageyama has had to deal with for longer then he could remember. Hinata and the rest of the team are playing in a big volleyball tournament. They are almost to the finals when something happens to Hinata during one of the games which starts to worry Kageyama. Kageyama and the team manages to make it to the finals without Hinata. The other school that the Karasuno High School Volleyball team are going against, they NEED Hinata. Without him, they will end up losing. Sure losing isn't a big deal for how far they made it in the tournament, but everyone wanted to take the volleyball trophy home fir their school. Hinata and the team have a few bumps in the road, followed by some drama and romance, while getting ready for the finals.
