Selena Emertz, an 11 year old girl with no parents finally finds real parents that she believes loves her. When she is enrolled into Flentersen Elementary school, she begins a new life. Bullying was always a tough problem for her so she was always alone. When she meets a girl name Claire Dazler, a girl who is also 11 years old, she finally finds a great friend. Claire's attempt to be Selena's friend fails at first. Slowly, they begin to form a great friendship or something even greater than that.
