But, all is not well for Jack and (Y/n) when Jack finds out that he can no longer rule alone - he must find his Pumpkin Queen before Oogie Boogie takes back his throne, or (Y/n). Jack seems to have left her alone for good, but she still sees his feelings for her on the inside. She's determined not to give up on him, but its easier said than done when a mysterious stranger starts invading her dreams and leading her feelings for Jack astray. If that's not the worst that could happen, there's a deadly epidemic passing through Halloween Town that's only affecting certain monsters. Everyone thinks that this has to do with the disappearance of Lock, Shock and Barrel, henchmen of the deceased Oogie Boogie.
