Tuck Everlasting. Such a great book, but with such a sad ending. Here's a thought, what would have happened if Winnie had drank from the spring when she was seventeen? That's what this is. What I think would happen. Of course I own none of this. Jesse Tuck is best.

To belong is a verb that Ruth has barely ever experienced. Her parents gave her up, only nine years old. And as any nine-year-old would've done - she waited for them to come pick her up. She became a part of the fostering system. Jumping from state to state, and after two years Ruth realised that it wasn't going to happen. Living in New York City for the second time, 14 years old, in a home with a foster family who barely cared, only using her. The bruises on her body just added by each day that passed. The thoughts in her head making her do stuff Ruth couldn't control. Not allowed to bloom, a creative flower inside the seed. One day she fell - at the worst time. In front of Lin Manuel Miranda. Watch her go from Ruth - to Rue, a whole new girl. - Written during the years of 2017 to 2023. Finished on the 1st of March, 2023. [This is a fanfic that focuses on mental illness. If you get triggered easily, please don't read]

Attempting to escape the regret of a past decision, Winnie Foster travels to New York City to spend Christmas with family. This story basically came about because I hadn't seen anyone else write about the connection that the time that the strike ended and the day Winnie was supposed to meet Jesse by the spring were coinciding. You're welcome. ;)
