Yo foot look funny asl" she looked down at her foot and started crying because the pain started to hit her since her adrenaline went away . " I ..I think I sprung my ankle ." The guy nodded and went to pick her up and she flinched " I'm not gonna hurt you , what's ya name ?" She looked in his eyes " Pooh"he chuckled and nodded " okay Pooh lemme help you get to the hospital okay ?" She was hesitant but agreed anyways " I didn't get your name " he placed her in the front seat " you can call me p" she nodded and held her bag closely to her " when's the last time you showered ?" She shrugged because she genuinely didn't remember her parents never allowed her to bathe they always came in and wiped her down for their next customer. Before the crowds screamed his name, before the league talks and the magazine covers, he met her. Calista Marchand. Not the kind of girl you run game on. She was sharp where it counted, soft only when she wanted to be. Real Brooklyn - pretty in the face, slick with the mouth, and solid with her hands if you stepped wrong. She kept her circle small, her loyalty tighter. The kind of woman who knew how to turn silence into safety and side-eyes into shut-ups. Men feared her. Girls tried to be her. She didn't chase, didn't fold, didn't need nobody. Until Ibrahim Montaigne walked into her life like he had all the time in the world. He didn't come with sweet nothings or flashy promises - just steady presence. Intent in his eyes, patience in his chest, and something rare behind the way he looked at her. Like he saw through the polish and the fire, like he knew the woman behind the defense. He didn't try to tame her. He studied her. Let her be exactly who she was. The shift was slow. She still fought when needed, still had a rep in the streets and in the salon chair. But somewhere between nursing exams and late-night block parties, she started saving parts of herself just for him. The quiet parts. The delicate ones. The ones nobody else got close to. And when she crossed that graduation stage, RN-BSN stitched behind her name and her grandmother crying in the crowd - he bragged harder than anyone. Didn't care who was listening. Forget MVP, forget the championship rings. She was the win. She was the headline. The girl from Brooklyn with spitfire in her lungs, gold in her smile, and a softness only he ever got to see. This isn't a story about being chosen. It's about choosing each other. No fairytales. Just Brooklyn grit and a love that never let go.

*Synopsis* Rain Jameson has always felt the overwhelming burden of expectation, a weight that has shaped her life from an early age. Living in the suffocating shadow of her older sister, she has faced a relentless barrage of comparisons that have intensified her mother's grip on her. Her mother, a woman of unwavering ambition, has meticulously crafted Rain's life, still at the age of 22, dictating every detail in pursuit of perfection. The one sanctuary she has found amidst this chaos is figure skating-a graceful art her mother introduced her to when she was just a child. The icy rink has become Rain's refuge, a place where she can express her true self as she glides effortlessly across the surface, mastering spins and leaps that leave spectators breathless. As her senior year at Boston University approaches, she pours her heart and soul into the skating team, balancing her studies with intensive training and dreaming of a future that could break her mother's tight grip. Across campus, Beckham Wade stands at the center of attention as the legendary star of the hockey team at 23. From the moment he took his first steps, the rink has felt like his second home-a place where he trains tirelessly, his skates carving arcs in the ice. Inspired by his father, once a famous player himself. He embodies the essence of a natural athlete, his muscles toned from practice and gameplay, filled with the exuberance of youth. Days are spent honing his skills, while nights blur into wild parties where laughter echoes and adrenaline reigns. He grapples with the envy of his male peers, many of whom view him as a rival rather than a friend. As winter unfolds, Rain and Beckham are drawn closer on the rink. A spark ignites between them, hinting at a chemistry that's hard to ignore. Yet, as their feelings grow, they stand at a crossroads, aware that what could blossom into something beautiful might also cost them the very sanctuaries that define their lives
