"I didn't ask to be in the middle of your ego-battle," I grumble. Blake pins me to my locker, hands resting on either side of my head. "Well, you got it in anyway, Darling," he whispers. His face is inches away from mine and damn me for licking my lips. I am NOT falling for these guys. And then, at the corner of my eye I spot Owen and his gang approaching. Well, that's just great. *** The West and East gang of Tygerwell have been at each other's throats since the dawn of time. And the two leaders of these gangs want to end the fight, once and for all. But fighting with fists is easy. Fighting with wit and charm, is a whole other ball game. Blake. West-side gang leader. Leather jacket and killer glare. Don't talk back. Owen. East-side gang leader. Fancy coat and toxic stare. Don't resist. And in comes Amber. Hair of gold and oceans in her eyes. Has too much sass for her own good and always, ALWAYS, manages to get into the middle of trouble. But these boys have no idea who they're really dealing with. And when Amber descovers she knows a little too much when it comes to guns and fighting, she has to question everything she thought she knew about herself. Three can play this game. *** "Let's settle this. You got rejected, I got rejected. It's only fair that the fate of the gangs be on who gets the girl first." "That sounds rather good, Rhodes. I'll take that bet on the golden girl." *** COMPLETED FICTION AWARDS: Best new story and best new account Highest ranking in Teen Fiction: #1 on 25/06/2018

Yes, he's a bad boy. And yes, she's a good girl. Or at least that's what the stereotypes lead people to believe in this school. Because things like this matter more than, you know, school. Meet Ethan Stone. He's got the dangerous, mysterious vibes paired with killer looks that have girls' panties flying off left right and centre. But don't worry, he doesn't have any STDs, apparently. And then there's Ashley Taylor. She's got the big glasses, underrated music taste, big-headed bullies that love torturing her, and brains no one can beat. But don't worry, she's got a knack for surprising people. You'd be surprised how much they have in common when they're not bound by crippling social constructs. Stereotypes were always a load of bullshit anyway. • First Place Winner for Humour - Corona Awards Second Place Winner for Humour - Fruits of Love Awards (rated 92/100)

"Welcome," Mr Tuma indicates the seat in front of his big oak desk and smiles at you affably. "Please sit," he intones in his usual melodic voice. You sit nervously, after your experience with the council last night; you don't know what to expect. So you sit on the edge of your seat to give yourself a greater chance to escape, should things go sideways. The Principal chuckles looking like the same old inviting principal you knew yesterday, but now you know he's not."Thanks for coming in this morning. I thought we could spend a couple of minutes getting reacquainted. " You sit silently and fidget nervously with your book bag. He just smiles at you reassuringly and says," I see, not in the mood for a chat. Okay just know my door is always open.." You nod your head stiffly -- anything to get out of the office and on with your new life. "I promise this will only take a moment. As Haven High's newest Enlightened student there are few things I think you should know." Firstly, this world is not for the feint of heart. We'll expect you to study hard and train even harder. Secondly, I know everyone is exceedingly attractive but looks can be deceiving, it would behoove you to remember that. Thirdly, magic will be the most invigorating and exhilarating experience you've ever had , but never underestimate it , because it's also deadly. "Do you have any questions?" You stare at him wide eyed and tight lipped until he leans forward behind his desk to say. "I know you'll do just fine here. Run along now." he dismisses you with a wave of his hand. And you rush to leave the room, he calls out before you can shut the door, "Oh and don't forget, our world is not to be shared with anyone who was not previously aware of it. Understood?" You gulp at the serious as a heart attack look on his face and say in a rush:,"I would never," but you wonder as you leave can you really keep that promise.

Poetry is an art, it's how you make your feelings in words, your thoughts into a song, and your voice into rhythms. I am not an expert in poetry, but I try to write something that could reach from my heart to others. I am more of a coherent writer, so not all my poetey rhymes, some does by chance but others doesn't. As long as I can read it, and people gets the message, I dont care about anything else. All my poetries based on what I see, what I have experienced and facts about life from my point of view. Hope it touches someone's heart. 😊😊😊 ....
