Deactivation means you're defective in the world of SQUIPs. It's an offense. It means you're useless. A glitch. An embarrassment, if you will. Being deactivated is every SQUIPs worst fear. Why? Because then there's nothing stopping other SQUIPs from doing whatever they want with you. No one cares if a defective SQUIP is ripped apart. No one cares if a defective SQUIP is torn apart, ripped up code by code. No one cares if they're left to malfunction and die.
