Only...there's a new dominant life form there now. Wanting to reclaim Earth, humanity dispatches a Strike Force Team of their 6 most elite soldiers to take it back; by diplomacy or by force. With the Shieldman running out of supplies, it's up to Pvt. 1st class Dimitri Bolotov, Corporal Dizzy Jensen, Corporal Mei Tu-Sing, Sgt. 1st class Zane Carello, Captain Leo Reznov, and Maj. Artemis Lanere to take back the Earth.

Only the lucky survived, mainly only researchers who worked at the North and South poles. They salvaged the embers of their civilization, and for a while, they had a sense of "peace".
