__"Emancipate yourself from mental slavery"__ Bob Marley. We all are enslaved in our own negative mind that we don't think about all the positive aspects of the future. We all are rope tied in what's going to happen if things don't turn out right. Like what if... *I lose my job* *fail my exam!* *get very sick* *don't have the future I've always hoped for...* *lose all the money I've earned* *take a risk starting a new business, and it doesn't go well* *tear my pants off, if I flex* All those negative thoughts circulate in our head over and over again. And I know it's scary... I mean at the end we're just human beings. We do think about all the worst outcomes, it's in our DNA. But we have to get over the fact that people will judge you anyway, so don't live your life impressing others ...LIVE YOUR LIFE IMPRESSING YOURSELF. And :- Instead challenge your negative thought. Ask yourself these questions when you think negatively... *Is there any evidence to support what I'm thinking- how do I know it's true? *Is there any evidence against what I'm thinking? *What alternative prospective are there? *What would I tell a friend if he/she was saying this about him/herself? *Is this a thought based on logic or fact? *Am I being too hard on myself? Would I ever say these words to anyone else?

She found her own suicide note. It was unmistakably her own handwriting, it was stained with blood, and it was dated three days from today. I wasn't supposed to survive, let alone escape. So, somehow, it wasn't surprising that I was staring at my own suicide note, dated three days from now. It was unmistakably my handwriting. The way I curled my letters around each other, how I tapered off at the end of sentences. There were even small blotches of water where supposed tears had fallen and a stain on the corner that could only be blood. They had found me. It was over.

Kidnapped, scared and betrothed, Blair Watson is just trying to survive being thrown into a secret world of paranormal beings, where bodies run cold and tempers burn hot. She had though that these stories of supernatural beings were just fairy tales. At least, she did before she was taken prisoner by sexy Reed Thorn and held at his family's extravagant manor house, complete with fancy balls, secret passageways and a seemingly oblivious staff. Stuck between a feuding clan of thirsty vampires and a coven of vengeful witches, will she be able to stay one step ahead or will she find herself being pulled into the prophecy of The Voodoo Bell? This story's first draft has been completed and is in the process of being edited.

Highest Ranking: #1 in Humor [FEATURED, SEPT-OCT] An idealistic poet refuses to budge from the last parcel of land a developer needs to acquire in order to build a shopping mall. (Literary satire with pop culture references and environmental themes.) synopsis: The Myth of Wile E. is a riff on the modern obsession with fame and acclaim, as well as a mediation on the artist's place in the modern world, as seen through the eyes of a naive poet who is made simultaneously pathetic and heroic by the pursuit of a singular goal. In this novel, we meet an assortment of eccentric monomaniacs, from mushroom hunters in search of a legendary truffle, to birders pursuing a possibly-extinct bird, to competitive Duck Stamp artists, to "the World's Foremost Living Statue"...and even a very stubborn spider. Meanwhile, our narrator--a terrible, yet persistent, poet--battles a ruthless land developer who's determined to acquire the poet's humble property, in an escalating battle of wills that spirals out of control when the media gets involved. With these quirky events as a backdrop, we gradually learn of the misfortunes that befell each member of the poet's family in their various misguided quests for glory. We also learn why money makes the world go flat, why talent is a white elephant, and what it means for parents to love their children "to pieces." Some of my influences are Richard Brautigan (especially), Christopher Moore, Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, and George Saunders, so if you like any of them, I hope you'll enjoy this, too.

No more kid. No more car chases. A peaceful life. A happy life. A- A massive hand grabs my injured arm and I'm yanked back. His breath fans against the nape of my neck, sending a shiver down my spine. "You're not going anywhere, woman." "Yeah. Mum~" Chiko chimes. Say what now? ⬖ ⬖ ⬖ Raised in a crime infested neighbourhood, Azize Rivera soon found herself doing time after following in her psychotic father's footsteps.
