"Make sure you are something before you fade to nothing," is a statement that Lucky takes to heart. At Bayridge High, a prestigious boarding school on the east coast of the U.S.A., they have a legend. A legend of tortured teens, and lost souls, a legend of tragedy. Bayridge has the highest suicide rate of the country, and one of the highest cumulative GPA's. Every cautionary tale, every kid who died young in that school kept a record in the suicide notebook. Detailing their thoughts, their feelings, their everyday lives until their lives were history. And Lucky knows he's next. He finds the notebook from subtle clues dropped by a mysterious upperclassman. He expects to find stories, beautiful and tragic in their nature. What he finds is so much more. A note: This story is labeled as sci-fi. I swear most of the weird things and things that seem slightly off around lucky will be scientifically fictionally explained. It becomes very very sci fi when the huge gigantic plot twist occurs. I opened my eyes to see black. Instantly, I panicked and jumped around, my hand running into something cold. I gasped. My hand groped around until it closed around a cylinder. I reached over and found another. And another. I went all around until I found myself scooching in a circle. I panicked again, as I was programmed to do. I tried to stand up and banged my head on the ceiling so hard, I saw white on the corners of my vision. I fell down and tried to get my thinking straight. Well, there was one thing I knew for sure. I was in a cage. Somewhere in the dark. Somewhere I didn't know. I heard a small laugh in the darkness. My heart sped up again. "Newbie, huh?" A voice, definitely a young boy, said. "They all panic." "Where am I?" I asked, desperate for answers. "The Keep," he replied, almost eerily. "It's where we all go."
