Y con respecto al asesinato de Marina, ¿Podrá por fin terminar esta pesadilla o seguirá atormentando a los jóvenes estudiantes de las encinas? ¿Podrán Guzmán y Samuel comenzar una nueva etapa de sus vidas, podran por fin vivir una vida normal, o todo seguirá igual?

A snicker came from her left, causing her to raise a brow, ready to be bitchy to whomever of the boys would dare think her anything less than drop dead gorgeous but as she turned her head, her eyes met beautiful, unfamiliar, brown eyes that were swimming with amusement, a glint of nervousness barely there. Brown eyes that belonged to a really handsome face, graced with an equally handsome smirk. It almost left her speechless. Almost. "I'm sorry, do you not think me beautiful, brown eyes?" Her chin was high, playful smirk on display, she nearly batted her eyelash for effect but who was she kidding, she didn't need it. The waiter was clearly taken aback by her question, nervousness now clear in his whole demeanour. Or : Carla meets a handsome waiter and can't keep him out of her head.

Carla finally had her life on track. She majored of London Business School with honours, she ruled the winery with Valerio by her side, in an impeccable manner. Everything was going great. Maybe she was still reluctant to come back to Madrid, but she had her reasons, she had Luke, she had a great place, she had a launch in France soon. It had nothing to do with a certain someone being in Madrid. A certain someone that certainly wasn't thinking about her the way she did him... Of course she knew he was a very busy, highly demanded lawyer now. It seems he too had his life on track. Sometimes she would allow herself to open this door she'd closed a few years back, the one that let her mind wander to the what ifs of their relationship. What if we could be now? But it wasn't fair to Luke. Luke who was here and was so supportive and perfect. Luke who wanted to marry her... But what if Samuel decided that it was now time to come get the love of his life back? What then?

"Do you think I'm evil?" she asked, her words no more than a whisper. Samuel's heart dropped at her question, and while her body began to tremble in his arms, he answered honestly: "No, of course I don't think that you're evil". Carla pressed her head into his chest as she began to sob quietly. Her sudden mood swings confused Samuel, but he knew they were most likely caused by the drugs she'd consumed. And as much as he hated the fact that Carla was so high right now, he also saw something positive from it. Whether it was because her feelings got so intense that she couldn't hold them in any longer, or she was only now brave enough to speak out loud what concerned her, but she finally opened up to him. And the topic she now brought up wasn't entirely new to him. He knew that she felt guilty for the things that had happened. For the deaths of Marina and Polo, for Christian's accident. And while it couldn't be argued that she somehow was involved in all this, one thing was safe to say: she never wanted to hurt anybody on purpose. Her miserable state was the biggest proof for that. - set ten months after their graduation (season 3) -
