Salinger(Sallie) is a sophomore in college now getting the hang of college life; she comes from a family of teachers and doctors. Her mother is a professor at a community college in her hometown, and her father is a traveling neurosurgeon. Sallie's life is organized, compared to Luci(Victoria Pedretti), a twenty-five-year-old college dropout, who happened to fall asleep on Sallie's lawn the night of a last-minute location change Halloween party. Sallie's life after she meets Luci is a walk in a gum-infested park where it's more than likely for Sallie to get stuck in a web of sticky residue.

The last time you heard about Jade was when she and her "temporary family" took a trip to Bora Bora. Sadly, the trip had been cut short due to COVID-19. The happy family flew back to America, and the girls have not gone back to school. Being in quarantine with each other had brought everyone together despite the specific events that took place back in Bora Bora. Jade is unsure if she should speak up or look the other way, meanwhile dealing with her problems. Jade's mom, who finds her way back into the picture, visits her more frequently despite Quarantine. As the two grow closer to one another, they learn things, but one learns way more than they should, compelling the other to question what is real and what is not. Jade puts herself in an uncomfortable situation when she gets contacted by authorities about someone she is closed with. While walking on eggshells, Jade may be tempted to turn to drugs in her darkest hours. Will she ever forgive those who have wronged her, or will she avenge for the sake of herself, even if she does put her life in danger. When Jade discovers a shocking revelation concerning Emma's installation, she finds herself clinging on to a brink, the edge.
