Leaha Lateire had been living a lie for the entirety of her 15 years of life. Keeping the truth about herself from everyone, absolutely everyone. But what choice did she have? If anyone ever found out about him... it would mean disaster. That someone was Kale; the separate personality that resided inside her mind. She wasn't crazy, he wasn't made up or a personality that split from her own, but a completely different person. They weren't sure how they came to be together, but after spending their whole lives stuck with each other, they wouldn't have it any other way. Though it came at a cost; as a result Leaha was left on her own, no friends and a family on the border of the most basic level. So whenever things got tough they escaped into their day dreams, living in the Naruto world, of which they were both enthusiastic fans. When a shooting star catches their attention one night, Kale insists they make a wish. Believing it would never happen anyway Leaha agrees and of course chooses to escape their world for one containing a certain blonde ninja. To their surprise, it comes true, every single detail. But even though she's in a new reality, it doesn't mean she's free of her secret, now much harder to keep and more dangerous if discovered. But as she settles in she begins to relax and trust her new friends. However... the star's wish wasn't a free gift and it came with a high price. Things are now reversed; where as before she kept her life with Kale a secret, now she must keep the former hidden and the knowledge that came with it. Yet as she becomes more and more attached to her new life and the people in it, she has to make a decision... Stick with the plot and suffer in silence along with them or use her knowledge to try and protect them? Meanwhile a darkness looms, threatening to tear Leaha part from everyone she has come to love, including Kale.

****Winner of the Most Popular Naruto Fanfic Watty Award 2013/14**** **Currently being rewritten as the original is old and awful in this author's opinion** A coming of age story about a young Ninja, confused and hurt by the instances in her past, struggling to find her place and figure out what it all means. Can the kindness of a new Village warm a heart that time has taught to be cold and cruel? Can new friendships replace broken bonds, lost to the past? Is it safer to stay, or is it safer to run? A story not about one's physical strength, or of obtaining great power, but a story of overcoming and learning to change as old wounds heal.
