His breath is on my neck and his shadow falls across my face as his lips brush my ear, "Now you," he whispered, "need to learn to behave." I snort with a laugh and then cry out as he brutally twists my arm tighter. "I don't know what you mean?" He roughly spins me around and glowers down at me. Shadows mask the harsh planes of his face; within darkening hallows, there is the pale glow of his eyes like frosted steel. His voice rumbled low from the depths of his throat, "I think you do". 1 year ago Kaela's parents were murdered and she found out that she's a shifter. Inhuman strength and agility, heightened senses and a temper to match the devil, Kaela is hunted down and forced to cooperate and join a renegade group of teenage shifters. While fighting to regain control of her life, the unspoken memories of her past and the nightmares in her dreams become present once more. 'I was running from my past, never wanting to look back. But you can't run forever.'
