Amber wakes up in a fit from a dream about her late brother, Aim, who she, ravaged by the pain of losing her twin brother, has tried countless times to clone. When she finally succeeds on creating a stable clone of Aim, it becomes rogue and breaks out of Amber's lab. And just when she thinks things can't get any worse, her supposedly dead brother suddenly appears to her, 6 years after his death. How is she going to explain the horrible things she has done? ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Chrome has died twice, helped stop the Robot Revolt, taken on armies of humans and robots, been to Hell and back, but nothing can prepare him for the new dangers forming in the future....... Aim wakes up on the Other Side, and he can't accept that his whole life as Chrome was a dream, an illusion, a lie. He believes the Death Council is hiding something from him. But what? ******************************************************** Meanwhile, Chroma, in the Land of the Living, searches for a way to bring Chrome's soul back from the Other Side, but it's not that easy. The Land of the Living, and the Other Side are two different dimensions. One for the Breathing, and one for the Dead. Somehow, she has to find bridge between the two worlds. But how? Well, a flame-haired boy Chroma meets says he knows how. One problem, though. The boy, Pyro, has an explosive personality from which he gets his name. And when I say explosive, I mean explosive. Pyro has the tendency to light stuff on fire and create bombs and other flashy, dangerous explosives and weapons. Chroma can hardly stand him, with his perky, crazy, random personality, until she realizes that there is more to him than meets the eye. He has a twisted, broken past that is actually quite frightening. No wonder he is insane.

Hex, a 13 year old with Xeno-Demonics (an extremely rare genetic mutation), struggles to fit in the the society of Quintessences, people with perfect DNA traits. He knows he should be in the Unbidden, people with mild DNA that only have a few flaws, or even the Deviants, people with imperfect DNA, but somehow, he was born from two Quintessence parents. With the Analysis, a DNA test to define which class you belong in, coming up, he knows he'll definitely be declassed. Not too bad, right? Wrong! For Unbidden life is tough and poor, most don't survive to their 30s, and for the Deviant, life is even worse. As a Deviant, you are forced to become a slave or die, whichever comes first. But, for Quintessences, life is a breeze being treated like royalty. Hex doesn't know what to do. His family and best friend might resent him if he fails the Analysis, not to mention, he could get killed.
