Lara has finally retrieved the Obscura Painting hidden beneath the foundations of the Louvre. Old, very old stuff - as old as The Golden Seal, which this year that ends has turned 10 years of life. There was a time when I thought about writing a TRAOD novel, and I got to take some notes for it. One of those handwritten documents was the oneshot The Good In Him, as a prequel, and another was this brief oneshot I present now. It's nothing special, just a description of this unforgettable scene, but it contains my first impression about this sequence and about Kurtis, which wasn't quite positive. Later I gave him my heart and sold him my soul to this day. There is a chance to write a remastered version, with the sexual tension, the attraction at first sight and all those things that I didn't see at the first moment because the anger blinded me as much as Lara - or even more.

In The Legacy - excuse the clumsy title - I intend to explore human and family relationships concerning the TR universe characters who survived to my previous brutality. There will also be some action, although scarce: you know I love dialogues, feelings and the human psyche in all its beauty and complexity. Here comes my second one-shot, which takes place after the events of my two previous fanfics, Tomb Raider: The Golden Seal and Tomb Raider: Lilith's Scepter. I recommend to read these two first (and yeah, sorry, I know they are a long, long read) so you can understand some references made here, particularly taken from Lilith's Scepter. But it's not strictly compulsory to understand the plot. I decided to write one-shots since I miss so much writing Tomb Raider LCxKT fanfics, but I'm too busy with my personal life to come up with a developed and integrated plot. I can just think of particular situations I would like to include in a potential third sequel. But not yet. That means, more one-shots are coming. Sorry for the length of this one. I just couldn't cut it more. Some situations and details are not described for a reason: I prefer to leave them to the reader's imagination. They can't fight each other because if one dies, the other will too, and so the natural equilibrium of the world -good and evil- will be restablished. There's only a way to break this binding, which is to master the True Option, a clue that, handled by a chosen woman -the so-called Amazon-, can decide which one lives and which one dies. Grateful for what he did for her at the Strahov, Lara decides to help him so he can survive to his doomed fate. She contacts him at Cappadocia and they start a quest for the True Option which will lead them through Turkey, Romania, Egypt and, finally, Greece, always guided by Kurtis' changing ring, which leads the way: The Golden Seal. This journey will reveal Lara not only she's the foretold Amazon, but also will drag her through feelings she's not comfortable with: hate, temptation, and love.
