Everything turns on its head when they break into the Lab's hidden archives to steal erased files, which contain mentions of a collection of kids who were experimented on decades ago. Why haven't they heard of this before? And what else might the Lab be hiding? In addition to this, the Mind Flayer has been woken up - and he is ready to remake the world. Will Eddie and Will survive or will they meet their demise like so many others?

When kids vanish into the Upside Down, Will Byers feels the pull again. Despite his mother's fear, he returns with Mike Wheeler to help save them. The mission is supposed to be quick-but the gate closes behind them. As the Upside Down dredges up Will's past, Mike stays close, protecting him from the cold and the memories. Trapped with no way out, survival forces them closer, and what starts as protection becomes something neither of them is ready to name.
