One late night at the diner, Stef meets a woman named Lena Adams, and takes an increased interest in her, especially after she realizes that they both are trying to escape similarly abusive relationships with the controlling men in their lives. Soon a very close friendship evolves, and it doesn't take long for that relationship to deepen as the two run away together and fall into bed together almost immediately. But the men in their lives don't give up so easily and their relationship threatens everything they are and everything they know. Will they continue to risk everything for love even if it means risking their lives?

One drunken night, Stef Foster decides to leave her girlfriend of three years and apply to be an employee on a singles lesbian cruise ship for three weeks. The only problem is she has no recollection of it until she is given the training itinerary one week before the cruise. Facing the fact that she is not happy in her relationship, and is becoming burnt out in her job as a San Diego police officer, Stef decides to go through with her drunken commitment. It is there that she meets Lena Adams, who she has instant chemistry with, and who is also going through a tough break up. The only problem is that it is clearly stated that guests and staff are not allowed to intermingle. Just how long can the two dance around their feelings before they give in?
