Hudson Ellis is good at his job. Somehow, he manages not to annoy people when he knocks at their doors and asks them to contribute to the charity he works for - instead, he gets them to sign up for sponsoring programmes and fish whatever spare change they have out of their pockets. Even the infamously tough residents of New York City are falling victim to Hudson's easy-going ways and wide smile; that is, until one woman renders him speechless with sarcastic refusals and slams her door in his face. Perhaps Hudson would be able to forget her - if it wasn't for the fact that she lives on the same floor of the next apartment over, and they both have floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for a rather generous view into each other's flats.

Synopsis: Elliot Fintry finds out about the novel, Saving Elliot, on Wattpad and that Elliot Jensen is northbynorth. I'm American, so bare with me and try not to cringe at my attempt in British slang. I also used many -- if not too many -- swear words in the dialogue to recreate Elliot Jensen's anger. Also, I'm not that great at insulting people or throwing comebacks. This one-shot is for the story Saving Elliot by northbynorth aka Rose North, so all of these characters belong to her. However, I thought up this plot, so if I find any one-shots with my idea, I will slay you in half. Understood? I also do not own this picture, as this was found on Google.

We've all watched about a million Romantic Comedies where the boy breaks up with his girlfriend because he realizes he's in love with someone else, the "right" girl. And when this finally happens, we're all really happy about it. They immediately set off together, paying no mind to the fact that the boy was in a different relationship, I don't know, about five seconds ago. The person we never think about is the ex-girlfriend, the "wrong" girl. And why not? It hardly seems fair, once you think about it. She's the one always being dumped, or left at the alter, or publicly humiliated. But no one even spares her a second thought, because she was just in the way the whole time. She kept the right girl away from the boy for so long. And of course, we were all rooting for the right girl, who wouldn't be? Serena Briggs was just as guilty of this as everyone else is, until her boyfriend Brayden dumped her for his best friend in front of half the school. Then she became the real life wrong girl.
