**PART ONE PREQUEL TO THE LAST OF THE KRYPTONIANS** **This takes place on the planet Juprin, in the Juktron Galaxy, millions of lightyears away. Juprinians are more intelligent than humans and have more advanced technology. Things such as a toddler speaking fluently in one or more languages is to be expected. Please do not comment about how certain aspects of this story are "impossible" unless you have visited Juprin yourself. Thank you.** Two-year-old Ani-Val spent her whole life in the "care" of people she knew only as "Stram" and "Strim." Stram, known as Lan-El to others, was an odd man with alien ideas and a kind heart. He genuinely seemed to care for little Aniv, who reminded him of a past he'd long left behind. Strim, known as Blisaar-El, was a cruel woman, who seemed to take pleasure in pushing the child to the point of exhaustion by making her work in the mines. The child's only comfort was in talking to their daughter, Kayaleigh. Kaya tried to teach Aniv to read and write, but the small child had trouble with even the simplest assignments, and thought of herself as stupid. She was only good for physical work, Strim told her, and she believed it. When Lan is killed in a visit to the mines, Blisaar turns on her own daughter. Kaya couldn't work in the mines, but without a man around, someone needed to do the chores around the house. These became her job, forcing her to quit school. All begins to change one day when Prince Kinl decides to visit the mines and discovers that they have a child working there. He has Aniv and Kayaleigh seized from their home, which leads to quite the discovery. . . . Maybe Aniv is a bit more important than Blisaar led her to believe after all. **MAY CONTAIN SUGGESTIONS OF CORPORAL PUNISHMENT** **MAY CONTAIN MINOR SWEARING IN AN ALIEN LANGUAGE** **MAY CONTAIN FACTS ABOUT THE BREEDING AND DEVELOPMENT OF AN ALIEN SPECIES** **MAY CONTAIN MINOR REFERENCES OR CROSSOVERS FROM OTHER FANDOMS** **DO NOT READ IF ANY OF THIS OFFENDS YOU**
