Raven was promised the world and left with barely a taste of it. Octavia was promised a taste but took more than her share. Sometimes promises are just made by the wrong people and it takes the right ones to allow them to be followed through. (Probably one of my worst descriptions, I sincerely apologise.)

Raven shakes her head and turns back to Octavia, propping her elbows up on the table and giving the girl her full attention. "So what is it, tiny? You part of the dead parents club?" Octavia tenses, the water glass in her hand shakes and she quickly sets it back down. "Raven," Indra hisses, her fork clattering against the plate. "Enough." or A Group Home AU where Octavia loses it all, Raven never had it to begin with, and Lexa just wants to watch Jeopardy reruns. Octaven-centric.

"You're allowed to be sad," Octavia repeats herself. She watches as Raven's eyes land on the necklace she's hung up, and she sees the pain in the girl's face. "You can't just keep hiding from it, Raven." "Yeah?" Raven's voice is cold again and she narrows her eyes. "And how would you know? You haven't even been here." Octavia continues to take it, knowing the verbal blows are well deserved. She feels infinitely small in that moment. In finding a problem that she can't fix on her own, she feels powerless. All she can do is shrug, clasp her hands together, and look down at the ground. "Doesn't mean I stopped caring." or A Non-AU in which Octavia and Raven have a whole lot of history.
