In the darkness you could see him stop in his tracks, a pained expression on his face as he doubled over, clutching his chest. Your feet scattered to get to him, feeling like you couldn’t breathe or speak, but you managed to shout out his name.
“NIALL!”
You knew every second you took to getting to him was a second less you had to say goodbye, and you didn’t want to waste any more time. You reached his crumpled body; he lay on his back and blood poured out of his chest incessantly.
You fell to your knees beside him, his once sparkling blue eyes starting to dull.
“Niall,” You begged, feeling tears start to fall down your cheeks. “Niall please don’t go, not like this baby.” Your hands cupped his face, wanting to hold on to him forever and keep him with you where he’d be safe.
