JJ thought she loved Will, but after he becomes verbally and sometimes physically abusive, they get a divorce. Emily being the friend she is, helps her through this tough time, but finds herself getting in too deep once JJ puts herself in danger. Once JJ looses Emily she feels miserable and lost without her she has no clue Emily is still alive, she also discovers she has feelings for Emily, as Emily for JJ. She has trouble grieving so Hotch tells her to take a few weeks off. JJ decides to go to Paris while she's in Paris she gets kidnapped, Until the team takes the Jet to get to Paris they need someone to get there before them, so Hotch calls Emily since she's been living in Paris because of the whole Doyle incident. Emily gets there just in time to save JJ. Once the girls see eachother they feel some type of feeling they have never felt before.
