Humans aren't his only worry though. Incent lives in a world where demons walk among them and being a hunter means he must exterminate them. But could he exterminate a living human for his King? And what happens when his victim becomes far too interesting to remove from his life? Highest Ranking: #160 in Fantasy Excerpt: "The talisman was a long, curved piece of gold, inlaid with small diamonds along the edges. It was almost like a boomerang, except it was smaller and had ornate carvings of old Pagan runes on it that could, unfortunately, no longer be read by any man or woman still walking on Earth. Par quickly picked up everything that had fallen out of his bag before he threw it on his back saying "grab on," and extended his hand towards mine. I rolled my eyes at his dramatic speech and took his offered hand." *This wonderful cover was created by @holmesfapel - check out the stories there too!!!

One thing I'll always remember is my parents saying "Everyone has a story" "Everyone has a story with a past, tragic or not. Everyone has a story that is meant to go unjudged, even if it was never told" But sometimes we forget that. Like when I though that my guardian was the devil. Even though he taught me how to laugh, how to protect, and even possible how to love. I only asked one thing "Why?" I still remember the one phrase that changed my life"Let me carry her" This one single and normal phrase was said by none other than Cooper Kingsley, our school's and town's bad boy. He was the championship boxer who drove a motorcycle and got into trouble frequently. He's the guy with brown hair that looked soft enough to run my fingers through, the guy with irresistible cold blue eyes and the guy with a built and strong body that made girls crazy. He wasn't your typical player either; no he was just hard to get- A complete tease. And the fact that he would volunteer to help a girl like this, was not normal. So what did Cooper Kingsley want anything to do with the bland and boring me? I was completely and utterly average. Or so I thought. So why did the devil suddenly become my guardian? Let's find out. (Book 2) *Contains spoilers below* "I needed more closure than what you gave me." I half lied. "It feels like an open wound someone keeps pouring salt on." His expression remained hard and cold. Almost distant. "I don't know what you want from me, Willow. You coming here isn't closing any wounds, it's just opening up old ones." I let out a sigh and rubbed my hands over my face. "I just needed to see you, okay? It's a relief to know you're even alive right now." I was begging myself not to cry. Noah shifted a little and folded his arms against his chest. "I don't know what you want me to say." "Anything is better than nothing." I said as I took a step closer. "I missed you. A lot." He peeked from under the mess of curls falling over his eyes. "You want me to tell you I missed you too? Is that what you're doing here?" I clenched my jaw shut and curled my fingers into fists at my sides. "I don't want anything from you." Scott isn't gone...yet. But he still refuses to let Noah go without harming anyone Noah cares about. It's been nine months since Scott took Noah under his wing and moved away from California. Willow hasn't seen either of them since the night Noah left with the promise to come back. When Willow finds Noah, she didn't expect what she finds. Noah's completely transformed into something she never thought she would see again. Besides the arrogant, obnoxious attitude, came countless tattoos, a ring through his lip, and a new name. With Scott still lingering and Noah's new found attitude, there's bound to be a little trouble. Way more than Willow bargained for. And maybe, just maybe, Scott isn't the real enemy.

"You'll be fine?" I shrieked. "You just got freaking stabbed! You're letting out more blood than a girl on her period! You are not going to be fine! I have to call the police. No wait, I have to call an ambulance! Oh my God, why didn't I think of that before? Stupid, Genevi-" "Stop talking!" he growled, turning away. I wrung my hands together in panic, trying to calm myself down. "I can take care of this, kitten. Leave me alone. It's just a small wound. Not like I haven't been stabbed before." he muttered the last part. "What?!" "Leave." he growled. I stared at him, unable to close my mouth. I had never seen someone get stabbed before. Heck, I had never seen someone get into a fight before. Ever. The only violence I had experienced was in movies. It was unfortunate for me that I found out how I would react in a danger situation like this. And by react, I mean completely flip the hell out. *LANGUAGE WARNING*
