Warning: There are very dark elements at play within this work of fiction, this is a story of pain and survival, of love and loss. Some of the events in this story are cruel and painful to imagine, please take this warning seriously. This is also a story involving gay teens, no longer will I label my stories but I will place a warning in the Description for arguments sake. Zachary's first six years of life were wonderful, filled with love and happiness until his mother died in a horrible car accident. From that moment on his life has been complete and utter hell, a decade later the events in his life have altered his ability to coexist with other people. He hates to be touched, his reaction is violent and often injures the one bold enough to touch him. That is until he meets Damien, a boy who knows the risk but can't resist the boy before him. Damien is one of the only out kids at school, luckily he hasn't really suffered for his stepping out into the light. For the most part his being gay isn't an issue for anyone in his life, or even within the school itself. That being said he's not exactly a social butterfly, and since he's one of a few his choice for a boyfriend are very limited. So far no ones really caught his eye, until he see's Zack standing in the shadows at a local hotspot. Only it isn't just Zack's beauty that captivates him, it's the pain he see's in the other boys eyes. He doesn't even know why he cares or why he feels that he has to help him, more than that he has to save him. For the first time in his life he feels truly compelled to stop standing idly by letting the world pass him by, now he has a purpose. He's going to save Zack Freeman at all cost, because saving him may very well be the first step to saving himself.
