--Only an ancient power can fight an alien race.-- Once the Borrai, the Gods of Garran, walked among the people, taming the wind and the fiery mountains. Then invaders came from the sky and killed the gods--destroying all who opposed them. A hundred years have passed since the Invaders came from the sky--an advanced alien race known as the Chanden. Now, having suffered many grievances at the hand of the aliens, the tribesmen rise up to find the god-stones and revive the ancient powers of the Borrai--and reclaim their world. As a son of the clan chieftain, Morrhan can't do anything right. His father disapproves of everything he does. When his father decides to seek revenge on the technologically advanced Chanden, once again Moorhen finds himself in opposition to his father. The fate of his tribe hangs in the balance. Should Moorhen follow his conscience-or his father? Meanwhile, when the Chanden learn of the search for the god-stones, they send a spy to infiltrate the Garrans--a young woman named Asta, who has her own reasons for hating the Garrans. She begins to realize that they are dealing with a real power and not a superstition when they get close to finding the god-stones. Could the Chanden be in the wrong? ________ This novel is complete here on Wattpad. The Gods of Garran is available on Amazon in Kindle and paperback. http://amzn.com/B00FGLUI00 #theooohrahs #featured

At the close of the 'Destruction' - Mother (Terra) had finally had enough. No more would the humans be allowed to slaughter one another pointlessly. No more would they take the rest of her, and her other children, down with them in the process. Thus, she called forth Terra Natus (Earth Arisen): "They came from the trees, they came from the water, from the rocks, from the plants. Mother Terra calling her other children out from centuries of standing idle, martyrs of a dying world, to fight back. Some saw them it is said, saw them walk right up out of the water, saw a boulder unfold itself and stand, just as you or I might. One second a mighty tree, the next? A being, arms stretched up to the glorious sun. (And) No sooner did we see them, than they were shooting us down. We were finally paying for our sins, and for the sins of our parents, and their parents before them...It was a heavy debt to pay." Generations later, the Terra Brothers, or Protectors, haven't even seen a human near their borders in so long that rumors of their extinction has spread. Rumors which are about to be put to rest in a big way, when Isa (the human) and Salix (the Protector) find their paths inescapably interwoven in the pursuit of eliminating a threat to Mother - the likes of which hasn't been known since the age of human dominance. But what is it? And what could have been so terrible as to drive Isa within the Protector's borders in the first place, knowing she would most likely be killed? Furthermore, how will Salix and Isa's relationship develop as they come to find, much to their surprise, that the other is not exactly like what they had been lead to believe? Come inside and find out! * Copyright © 2016 by Nathalia. All rights reserved. * Original and epic cover art by @Neenerst - I mean seriously, look how she captured all the elements of the story. ************************************************************************************** An outcast rogue must break a curse put on his fate, or die on his nineteenth birthday. In JOS I set the rogue and con-artist Harric against a foil of warriors in a land threatened by magic and civil war. Whenever possible I turn familiar tropes on their heads: instead of a handsome young Lancelot, I cast a broken-down ex-champion addicted to pain-killing herbs; instead of a dashing Squire Brian, the old knight reluctantly takes an ambitious young woman as squire. Similarly, I re-imagine the standard medieval milieu by infusing aspects of two of my favorite historical periods, Elizabethan England, and The American Frontier. Both eras boast a kind of nationalistic arrogance that borders on hubris, and a magnificent spirit of resourcefulness and re-invention that is fun to play with. SERIES The Jack of Souls is first in a series. I am posting parts of the sequel here now (The Knave of Souls), to help me refine the story.

[AUTHOR'S NOTE 11/19/18: The complete, revised, edited version of Book 2 is now available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited. The official release also includes a 2,000 word short story titled, "Merlin's Folly."] This book is a continuation of the (mis)adventures of one Lawrence Eugene Mulligan, who was transported by a divine entity known as the Gamemaster to another version of Earth. In this new world, our main character ("MC") must continue to work diligently toward his ultimate objective: to become the next King of the Kingdom of Merlin in order to return home. Luckily, our MC has developed deep relationships with numerous Non-Player Characters ("NPCs") as well as organizations and even Gods(!) to assist him in his quest. CHRONICLES of a PC Gamer Stuck Inside an RPG (A LitRPG Serial) is updated twice a week. The series is a hardcore slice-of-life genre story. Book Two continues the Seventh Day of our MC's stay on the continent of Britannia. Book Two: Successor is the sequel to Book One: Duelist. The sequel immediately continues the events of the previous book and thus, it is crucial for the reader to finish reading Book One before delving into Book Two. You have been warned. ^^
